Dirty DC at Mr Kyp's, Poole. 05/12/2003

Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap, and then some! What a stupendous gig this was. The raw power and excellent musicianship along with a great choice of material made this gig a truly memorable experience.

All the 'old favourites' were on display, Highway to Hell, If you want blood, Whole Lotta Rosie, etc. along with some newer stuff which I'm ashamed to admit, I didn't recognise (my vinyl ends at For Those About To Rock).

The band sweated, 'Angus' duck-walked back and forth and the crowd went genuinely wild. This was one of thiose quite rare occasions where if the band had played all night the audience would still have been there in the morning boogying. Fabulous stuff - as I told 'Angus' after the show, you guys are really too talented to keep covering AC/DC - write some songs and you could blow The Darkness away!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttt Dirty DC gig ... I didn't think it could be better than the Sept. date - but it was and the walk through the audience with lead guitarist on shoulders nearly brought tears of joy. I brought a mate along who saw AC/DC back in '78 at Wembley Arena when they hit this country proper. He was 16 at the time and the night was topped off by Bon Scott signing his denim jacket. "Have you still got it?" I asked. "Nah", he replied. Drongo!   Anyway he thought DDC were great. I tossed my black t-shirt into the side stage towards the end when it was really rocking and getting hot. Anyone handed anything in? Don't worry, it was only a cheapie I bought off a Senegalese street trader in Tenerife.   Glad to see you had real ale again on the DDC night. Any chance of repeating that on 23rd and 24th?   Merry Christmas to you all and the very best for the new year.   Paul Hewitt

Thanks Paul for your comments and Romin for passing it on

Great Gretsch Sound!

Cheers lads for a belter of a gig at Stourbridge. We were all blown away by the set, you guys certainly gave us our moneys worth, over two hours full on balls out rockin. We Salute you!

Special thanks must go to Paul Stic's ace sound! Really was a delight to hear, you must love playing Malcs parts, only one thing to say really but.... Jailbreak!!!!!! Fan-bloody-tastic. Just goes to show that these expensive signature models can still let you down as demostrated during Rock n'Roll Ain't Noise Pollution!

Great stuff and will definitely catch you again soon and I will try to get there early to get a closer look at Paul's Amp.
